Biography of Dee Dee Bridgewater

Dee Dee Bridgewater is a supremely talented jazz singer whose records have not always been indicative of her skills. Her best work came with the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis big band. She can sing loud or soft, do brassy upbeat tunes, blues, or sentimental ballads, and she became popular overseas in the late '70s for her one-woman show, "Lady Day."
