The most memorable of all the horn players who ever passed thru James Brown's bands, Parker was on most, if not all, of the classics Brown recorded during his breakthrough success in the '60s. At decade's end, most of the band pulled up roots and went with Parker, forming Maceo & the All the King's Men.
